While I’m over the snow on the ground and ready for spring to truly SPRING, I still can’t get over how the cool crispness highlights this beauty’s red hair and porcelain skin. My jaw dropped when I uploaded this photo to my computer. I knew it was pretty when I shot it, but seeing it blown up . . . yowza!
Park City is a fantastic spot for senior photos, especially if your graduate wants an urban vibe. I truly love getting to chat with seniors during their photo session. I get to find out about upcoming plans about college or missionary, peace corp, or military service. Some know exactly what they want to do and some (like me) will probably change their major several times before they figure it out. It’s such an exciting–and a little bit scary–time to head off on your own, but I can tell you that the seniors I have had the opportunity to photograph always leave me impressed and hopeful for what’s ahead.

Time to get your graduating senior photographed for announcements . . . and because it is a HUGE moment for them. I love imagining what lies ahead for seniors. You get to live in an apartment with friends, study what excites you, meet people from all over the country and even the world, and talk about big ideas and how to make the world a better place. Can you tell I really liked college?
I love when families want a gallery wall with a family portrait and individuals. Kids love to see themselves on the walls of their home. They feel important and loved. Capturing kids in all their stages is one of my favorite things about photography. It freezes time and lets us revisit it. The older my kids get the more sentimental I am about their photographs from years past.
I have so many shoots with beautiful photos that I want to share. So over the next weeks, I’m going to catch up on some 2018 posts. I’m going to start with this beautiful missionary. She is now serving in Estonia.
This is my brother’s family. I’ve been taking their photos for years and it is so fun to watch them grow through portraits. Their oldest is about to married the first week of October . . . photos to come, of course . . . so this is their last family portrait as their core family before spouses and eventually grandkids enter into the shots. Such a special moment to capture and it turned out just like I wanted–full of light and love!
Oh, how I love summer and green and aspens! This gorgeous mama was looking for a beautiful family photo and individual portraits of each her kids to hang on the wall up her stairs. She’d done fall colors in the past, but was looking for light and summery this time around. I think we got exactly what she was looking for
It was really fun to do both a boy and girl senior session while in Hawaii. Congratulations Nick! Can’t wait to see what’s in store for you in the upcoming years!
I got to go to Hawaii in March and was lucky enough to do 3 photo shoots while there, so more blog posts to come. McKayla graduates in just a few weeks! Isn’t she beautiful!
