While I’m over the snow on the ground and ready for spring to truly SPRING, I still can’t get over how the cool crispness highlights this beauty’s red hair and porcelain skin. My jaw dropped when I uploaded this photo to my computer. I knew it was pretty when I shot it, but seeing it blown up . . . yowza!
Park City is a fantastic spot for senior photos, especially if your graduate wants an urban vibe. I truly love getting to chat with seniors during their photo session. I get to find out about upcoming plans about college or missionary, peace corp, or military service. Some know exactly what they want to do and some (like me) will probably change their major several times before they figure it out. It’s such an exciting–and a little bit scary–time to head off on your own, but I can tell you that the seniors I have had the opportunity to photograph always leave me impressed and hopeful for what’s ahead.

Time to get your graduating senior photographed for announcements . . . and because it is a HUGE moment for them. I love imagining what lies ahead for seniors. You get to live in an apartment with friends, study what excites you, meet people from all over the country and even the world, and talk about big ideas and how to make the world a better place. Can you tell I really liked college?

I got to go to Hawaii in March and was lucky enough to do 3 photo shoots while there, so more blog posts to come. McKayla graduates in just a few weeks! Isn’t she beautiful!
This is my gorgeous sister and her three amazing and equally good-looking kids! We were at our family Christmas party back in December and she asked me if we could do a quick family shot since they were all dressed up. We snapped these moments before it was too dark. It was FREEZING!! Like really freezing–maybe 10 degrees tops. They’re still smiling though, and I only had to tone down some red noses and ears in the last couple shots…thank you photoshop. 🙂
This brother and sister just recently graduated. Congrats to both!!! Don’t worry, we weren’t favoring here. He only wanted 3 photos–enough to do his announcement–so we used the rest of the session on her. 🙂
Another senior shoot from last fall. Handsome guy and super smart–he already knows what he wants to study (some super-sciency thing that was so sciency that now I can’t remember what it was. I just realized that I never posted this senior portrait sessions from last fall. Such a beautiful girl and so much ahead of her. Senior sessions are fun because the subject is at such an exciting time–so much they’ve accomplished and so many exciting changes ahead of them. Fun to capture that time in photos.
